UX Design Portfolio

During my years at New York University as a graduate student in the Management of Technology MS Program, I decided to focus my studies on Digital Strategies and Innovation together with Business Design. From the program, I was able to get hands-on experience by working on team projects through aspects of human-centered design, UX design, implementation of AI, and creative problem-solving techniques.  Here are several UX projects that I did through classes and internships that demonstrate my knowledge in user emphasis, human-centered design, problem-solving, design thinking, user journey map, user flow, and Figma. 

NYU Tandon Commercial Impact Award-Winning Project

As a Consultant and a strategic UX Designer, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with SkinSAFE, a data & ingredient-driven safety verification platform for sensitive skin users.

The focus of this project is to enhance the current SkinSAFE knowledge base with additional publicly and internally available data. The goal is to redesign the presentation of the information on its website to be quickly absorbable by those without specialized background knowledge. The project contains aspects of UX & UI design, coupled with finding and connecting relevant data to bring out the actionable value and best practices for the users. The student team worked closely with the online marketing team to conduct various A/B testing while analyzing behaviors in order to gain consumer insights.

Digitalizing Sustainable Cities & Communities (NYC)

CHALLENGE
The NYC MTA infrastructure system has been a major challenge for mobility difficulties users because of its accessibility. Based on research, interviews, and observations, we realized just how difficult it is for the minority users to commute in New York City subways and how much they rely on elevator-accessible stations.
Unfortunately, only 20% of the total stations in NYC are elevator-equipped. This puts mobility disabled users at a great disadvantage because on top of inaccessible stations, there is no way for them to find out if these elevators are even working. Oftentimes, a wheelchair user will need to take alternative public transportations just to gain access to an elevator-equipped station only to find out the elevator is hopelessly broken. Due to the fact that MTA has an enormous amount of daily users, it makes infrastructure improvement and repair nearly impossible.

SOLUTION

Be My Buddy is an application that helps users with mobility difficulties to connect with volunteers who share the same route and can eventually help them on their commute. It also suggests the best commute/ route for people with mobility issues by providing real-time data about infrastructural information. It is a way to get the community involved and help out in the absence of infrastructural improvements that are difficult to do right now (such as making every station accessible). In sum, this app aims to provide information and support that makes the user's transit experience easier by providing a two-fold solution:
1. Navigation information that can help them get to the nearest accessible station
2. In absence of such a station, provide help from volunteers (daily MTA users) to make their commute easy.

Meet your new Skincare Management System - Butler.

Butler is a New Digital and Physical Product Development project I did for the Product Design Studio Class at NYU. It is a personal skin management system that includes a beauty fridge and a hyper-personalized skincare subscription service
With your zip code, Butler can tailor your skincare needs into personalized trio products to accommodate changing skin conditions due to climates and weather; overcome various urban pollutants; constantly adapt to your environment. Through peer reviewings on topics such as daily beauty routine challenges and concerns, I decided to create this project focusing on providing a hyper-personalized skincare experience while reducing product waste.
